I dunno, I never really liked the old T-50 and T-50-2. However again in any tier VI or lower battle they can easily deal a lot of damage on their own. On tier IV the 38 nA, T-50, A-20 and M5 are great scouts,

The Leopard is kind of a in between tank, however I prefer pushing enemy tank formations into chaos by popping up, damageing 1-2 tanks I usually passive scout in it, all other tier V light tanks are used as combat light tanks. On tier V I only recognise the Chaffee as a regular scout and the Chaffee actually is a tier VI scout in disguise. The T21 can do a nice amount of damage, however I usually scout instead of hunt in it. On tier VI I use the VK 28, T21 and 59-16 as regular scouts, however the 59-16 and VK 28 are great combat tanks, too.

Only in a secondary role do I scout with them. Their damage output and the ability to cause chaos is way too high, thus I use them as mobile weapon platforms. I use none of the tier VII/VIII light tanks as primarily as scouts.
